This mountain flower is found between 2600 to 3900 meters, making it the highest growing gladiolus. It is endemic to the tallest mountains of Kenya and Tanzania, where Prof. Karl Olov Hedberg, a pioneer of Afro-alpine vegetation, describes the conditions as “summer every day and winter every night.” Although it flowers year-round in the wild, in cultivation flowering tends to take place in late summer.

Tested germination rate is 75%
