The perennial herb Gerbera piloselloides shares its genus with the brightly-colored gerbera daisies that are popular as cut flowers. This species grows in the wild in grasslands across Africa and parts of Asia. Its dainty flowers are white to pink, often with tinged with purple. Golden-brown stalks reach up to 60 cm (24 in) and are covered in dense soft hairs. Leaves, also cobwebby with soft hairs, grow in a rosette at the base.
